eDiligence was contracted to investigate internet auction sales of a counterfeit luxury goods. The ultimate client was concerned that the cheap knockoffs were lessening the image of their prominent brand. eDiligence meticulously documented the problem, including the collection of some goods from the gray market. The client was able to approach the auction house with this evidence.  The auction house, fearing a lawsuit, developed a program with the client to remove these fraudulent postings from their web site and to monitor such activity in the future.

Under contract, eDiligence researched the ownership of dozens of domain names that were infringing on a clients brand. The registrants often hid behind fake company names and throw away domains, but eDiligence was able to locate them and help the client protect its brand.
